Upon graduating high school from Bartlett High, he went into the US Marines. After his four years of service, he attended the University of Alaska Anchorage for one semester. It was not a very successful experience and he decided it was not the right time in his life for college. He worked in various industries such as security, food, and retail. During his time as a restaurant manager, he met Christy Berggren, his future ex-fiancŽ. Although the couple parted ways, they are the proud parents of Corissa Elaine Andrews, now seven years old. In the Fall of 2002, William returned to college at the University of Alaska Southeast, and has been enjoying a successful college career. William got involved with student government in 2005 when Cachet Garrett, a student Senator, asked William to run as her Vice President. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor Arts in Social Science with a minor in Alaska Native Studies, and plans on pursuing the Master in Arts and Teaching program thereafter. Politics at the state level is a possibility in the future, but for now, leadership at the student level is the plan. |

11120 Glacier Highway 907-796-6517 (business) sun_tiger109@hotmail.com | Lindsey ForrestPresident, United Students of UAS - Juneau (2007-2008)Pro-Tem, Coalition of Student Leaders Member, System Governance Council I'm currently the United Students of the University of Alaska Southeast Juneau Vice President. I'm active in Alpha Phi Omega. I am getting my B.A. in English, I'm not sure which area of English I want to continue into and I'm also thinking about getting into the Law Minor here at UAS- Juneau. After I get done here at UAS I'm going to travel to Japan and around the world teaching English. When this is all done I might get into politics or I might not. I enjoy reading, when I have time, drawing, swimming, drinking coffee, running, hiking, camping and SNOWBOARDING! Hopefully this year will be a good one on the slopes! I love living in Alaska, although I don't think I'll stay here after I'm done teaching, and I love all the fresh are and fish! I think that the University is one of the most important things that Alaska has going for it and that it needs to be taken care of by the state, the federal government and the students. |

I am proud and happy to serve the college community. I was born and raised on a commercial troller in SE AK, where I was homeschooled and learned the secrets of the salmon. I left to continue my gypsy life by finishing highschool in Seattle and starting college. My one year off turned into ten years, and here I am again, in Ketchikan, working on year two of my pre-requisits for nursing. In that ten years I have lived in a million different places, trying to accomplish as much as I can on my lifes to do list. Ive white water rafted, gone to Hawaii and Jamaica, seen the Grand Canyon, and had a beautiful daughter, my Hurricane Lucinda. On that list was to be president and graduate from college. Im president, now all I have to do is graduate. |
