1. SAC has completed its final review of the attached proposed changes to:

Regent’s Policy P10.06.01 and 10.06.02, Assessment

UA Regulation R10.04.06, Transfer of Credit

Regent’s Policy 10.05.03, and Regulation R10.05.03, Residency Requirements

(Note: I have attached only the proposed new language to the changes portions of policy and regs, not the line-outs. Refer to the

Policy and Regs on the web for current versions)

I intend to brief the Chancellors on these changes at this Friday’s Cabinet meeting (11 Feb). We will propose the policy changes to

the BOR at their 13-14 April meeting, thus they must be in final form and submitted to SW administration by 22 March. If there are

any additional proposed changes, please ensure they are passed to Dave Veazey for SAC review NLT Friday 25 Feb.

2. SAC believes that to improve our service to our students we must set common start dates for all three MAUs. Note that this

change applies ONLY to start dates, not to reconciliation of the entire academic calendar. We will propose the following dates to the

Chancellors at the 11 Feb Cabinet:

Spring 2006: Tuesday 17 January 2006

Fall 2006: Monday 28 August 2006

Please transmit any substantive concerns (and rationale therefore) with these dates to me via Mike Sfraga nlt noon 10 Feb 05.
